The future of many children depends on a
bridge
" The bridge to India for child adoption
"
WHAT IS PANI ?
PANI -which means "water" in Hindi- has come to represent a true bridge for the adoption of children from India.
PANI is a nonprofit organization founded in the spring of 1996 to promote the adoption of children from India and at the same time to provide practical support for families trying to adopt or thinking about doing so. PANI is open to everyone interested in that mission.
PANI facilitates contact among families who wish to exchange experiences and ideas. We distribute information, provide personal and administrative support, and give practical help to those involved in the process of adopting a child from India, or to those who or lucky enough to have already welcomed a boy or girl from that wonderful country into their homes.
At PANI we are also committed to helping defend the rights of Indian children who are being adopted. We seek to prevent irregularities in the adoption process and the abuse of minors, by assuring that all national laws and international guidelines are followed strictly. At the same time we wish to facilitate the integration of boys and girls into their new families in a way that is favorable to the overall development of the child.
PANI is open to hearing from families interested
in adoption in general, or from anyone who is concerned about the
underprivileged - especially children - who do not receive a fair
share of the world's riches.
